| Vehicle Breakdowns - A Mechanic's Dream |
| 06.17.09 (4:51 am) [edit] |
Mechanics count on a few certain things in order to stay in business. They count on breakdowns. Usually if a person breaks down near their workshop, they will get some business by the end of the day.
They also rely on repeat business. If you treat a customer right, they will bring their car or truck to you again and again. To ensure a friendly experience, they enter all of your information into their job shop scheduling software and greet you by name from then on.
They rely partially on large companies with fleet vehicles. For fleets, the same general rules apply. Keep the clients very happy, knowing they are a large part of your income. And every car or truck in their fleet goes into the auto fleet maintenance software so you can easily see past repairs and know each truck’s general problems.
Of course, all of these things can pretty much be counted on for the time being, at least until someone invents unbreakable cars or instant matter teleportation devices.
